The Center for Development and Services belonging to the Dow Polyurethanes business is in the town of Navarre.
In this center, polyurethane and epoxy systems are marketed and developed. In addition, their final applications cover a broad range of markets, such as construction, cold storages, automotive and artificial turf.
Dow Ribaforada performs commercial, research and development activities as well as those related to services and distribution for customers in Spain and Portugal. It provides personalized service to support the customers, always under the key principle of the groundbreaking application development that is environmentally sound.
The Dow Chemical Complex at Tarragona consists of two production sites: the Olefin Plant (North complex) located at La Pobla Mafumet and the Ethylene Derivatives Plant (South complex), located at La Canonja.
The North site facilities, where the Cracker and Octene Plant are situated, are unique in the world on account of their groundbreaking production process.
In turn, Dow invested 700 million Euros in this site during the last 10 years in order to upgrade the facilities and to face the future with greater competitiveness, sustainability and safety.
The Continuous Panel Development Center (ce|de|pa) is also located in Navarre. Fully active since 2012, the center focuses on testing activities and on the creation and manufacture of continuous polyurethane insulation panels for thermal insulation, aiming to the later implementation in the building sector. This center was founded due to the union between Dow and SAIP Equipment, an Italian world-leading company in development and service of polyurethane industry advanced technology machinery, with the strategic goal of developing and providing new solutions for the global insulation panel industry sector.
